Who we are

This site is published by Orbital Ecology, 749 York Court, San Diego, CA 92109, United States. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not, please stop using it.

What this site is

It describes what we build and what we have tested. It is published for information. Nothing on it is an offer to sell, a contract, a quotation, or professional advice of any kind, and nothing on it creates a relationship between us until we have both signed something.

The figures

Every number we publish resolves to a stated source: a published benchmark, a peer-reviewed paper, a reported industry incident, or our own validation record, each named where it appears.

• Benchmark results are benchmark results. Where a figure comes from a simulator, the page says which simulator. Those are the reference models the relevant fields use to evaluate control strategies. They are not a promise about your facility.
• The live demo uses synthetic logs. The estimator is the production one, but the data it runs on was generated to be legible, and every cost figure on it is modelled from assumptions printed on the same card. It illustrates a method. It does not forecast your outcome or quantify your savings.
• Incidents we cite are public reports about companies that are not our customers. Citing them is not a claim that our software was involved or would have prevented them.

Do not make an operational, financial or safety decision on the strength of a page on this website. The engine we describe is read-only: it estimates and forecasts, and it connects to no control loop.

Intellectual property

The text, design, code, figures and imagery on this site belong to Orbital Ecology unless marked otherwise. You are welcome to read it, quote it with attribution, and link to it. You may not republish it wholesale, or present it as your own.

Material we cite belongs to whoever published it, and the citation names them.

Using the site

Please do not attempt to break it, overload it, use it to distribute anything harmful, or scrape it in a way that degrades it for anyone else. The demo runs on your own machine, so what you do with it there is your business.

Links out

We link to sources, benchmarks and a calendar booking tool. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for them.

Availability

This is a static site on a shared host. We make no promise that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of error, and we may change or remove any part of it at any time.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Orbital Ecology is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website or anything published on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of San Diego County have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
